London -> Jackson Hole

I left London at 7am yesterday morning and finally arrived here in Jackson at around 1am local time, around 8am London time. It was a long day but it went reasonably well and I managed to sleep on all three planes. It's a pity that my skis and boots didnt make it to Jackson Hole from Denver but, as a software person, I'm not too surprised as the old Devner baggage handling system is a well known classic failure in software circles; it seems that the way they do it now isn't much better! My gear is due to arrive sometime today and I've decided not to bother trying to ski today as I can't be bothered to get some rental gear and, funnily enough, I'm a bit tired.

I'll be based in Cowboy Village Resort for the next three weeks or so and repping for the Ski Club of Great Britain from Sunday. I meet people at the bottom of the Bridger Gondola most mornings at 9.15am. If you're in Jackson Hole over the next three weeks and fancy someone showing you around for free then come along and say hi; the jackets that we have to wear are pretty memorable...

Well, I've looked up at it from a distance and it looks 'interesting'... It's not really the kind of thing I'd lead a group down, but who knows, I may do it on my day off, if conditions are right and I have an instructor and (i'm sure there are more excuses not to do it!)...
