London -> Davos

The journey out was good. It took around two or three hours longer than the drive to Morzine but we stopped more and most of France was wet and rainy which made the journey a little slower. Things got interesting after Strasbourg when suddenly the drive became less sedate (French motorways are a dream to drive on as they're reasonably empty and it's easy to overtake), the roads became busier and overtaking was a nightmare as it seemed that the rest of the world was travelling at mach 3... Eventually we realised that we were in Germany.

As we wound up the mountain roads to Davos there was plenty of evidence of snow, which was surprising and good. The sat nav found the hotel without problem. The hotel, The National, is great. Time to sleep.
