We made it on to the mountain pretty early this morning and the skiing was good until around 10.30 when the rest of the resort finally woke up. This was my last day's skiing in the Morzine area for a while and, to be honest, I was happy to call it a day around lunch time and head home. The snow is still surprisingly good in places in the Avoriaz area but there are too many people and there are some rather scrapey slopes by 11 when all the nice grooming has been destroyed. There's still good snow to be found at the edges of the pistes until late in the day but the amount of scarey people around makes it all a bit too stressful to enjoy.
Gaelle and I are hoping to pop in and visit Phil as we return from Klosters at the end of Jan, hopefully there will be more snow by then...
