More ski testing in Morzine

First thing this morning Phil and I patched the bases of my B2s (again!) as they'd been trashed on the run down yesterday. We then headed off to Avoriaz and did some more ski testing. Today I tried the Scott Mission, a nice fat freeride ski. These were great fun, very responsive on piste and great off piste, they really gave me confidence in the steeper and deeper stuff as they are predictable and solid. Next up I decided to try the Aztec Pro again, this time in the off-piste to compare them against the Mission. My verdict pretty much matches the official recommendation; the Aztec Pro is better on piste and the Mission is better off piste. I'm not currently sure if I want a pair of each...

Am heading out to Morzine a week on Friday. Sounds like its in a bit of a state at the moment. The web cam views are showing more green popping through the white than has been seen for a couple of weeks now.

How bad is it really?

Morzine isn't open yet, Les Gets is openish but not worth skiing, Avoriaz is open and good on piste and not too bad off-piste (if you dont mind the odd rock gouge or two).
