When we got to the base this morning the sign read that there were 110kph winds at the top and that everything was closed, next news at 9am... When the update came it wasn't good, the ski area would be closed for the day.
Some of us decided to drive down to Albertville for some shopping so I drove down, we browsed but didnt really buy a great deal and then we had lunch in a nice little wood fired pizza place in Bourg St Maurice, shopped a little more and came back to Tignes. It looks like there's been a little snow a little higher up and they're running the snow cannons so fingers crossed for a decent dump tonight!
Good luck with the snow Len - loads of rain here today so hopefully it's heading your way (as snow). When does the course finish?
