Looks like we picked a good two weeks

I've just had an email from Lucy which says that they've had 10cm of new snow recently but that it's on top of a very icy base which is less than ideal and quite similar to the conditions we had at this time last year. The problem is that you tend to get lured by the nice looking fresh snow off piste only to discover that it's a mess of icy lumps underneath... Bleugh!

Looks like we managed to pick a good two weeks for our time in Megève this season, we really can't complain about the conditions that we had...
