Back from Megève

We've just spent an excellent two weeks in Megève with The Original Ski Company. The chalet, food and service were all excellent (bear in mind we know the owner of the company so my view may be tainted but I don't see how they could have done better and I'm sure we didn't get any special treatment). The weather and conditions were pretty much perfect. We had a little bit of "spring like" conditions last week but it was getting colder again over the last couple of days and the snow condition is very good. We somehow managed to pack an awful lot into two weeks; lots of skiing, 3 days on telemark, a randonée up the Mandarin green after the lifts closed for a meal at the Igloo restaurant followed by a torch-lit descent (on telemark - (hmm, not the brightest idea in the world but fun once we gave up on trying tele turns with our exhausted legs)) and a helicopter trip around Mont Blanc.

More later... Once again, it's crap to be home. In fact, I felt much more "at home" in Megève... I think I need another season...
