I've mentioned before that I often ski around with a camera strapped to my head. These days it's less amusing to watch than it used to be when I had my first, home made, head cam rig. I'm still working on getting decent footage from the camera; often things look too flat, or too slow, or generally just not as hard or as cool as I expected them to look. It's always a bit of a disappointment as everything looks easy and that's hardly the point of the exercise...
Anyway, here's an interesting bit of head cam video footage from someone (not me!) doing some cliff jumping in Kirkwood. Now, I don't know about you, but that doesn't look nearly as scary as I would have expected it to... I expect my comments above apply, so don't try this at home...

Posted by: JP at December 28, 2005 08:17 PMI did my medial ligament last december and although I skied all last season with no problems (85 days on snow) I'm only just feeling like it's back to normal now...

Posted by: JP at December 28, 2005 08:38 PMPretty awesome video footage. I bought a helmet camera from some guys here in London ( www.actioncameras.co.uk).
Good price and got some really good footage from it. Better than with my camcorder. Not sure I have the balls to do what that guy did though!
