This is the edited video of me from today at Cote 2000. Probably not that interesting to anyone except me. From this footage it seems that the next thing I should be working on is keeping my hands and arms more stable. The inside hand drops back after the pole plant and this causes the down hill hand to be too high during the turn and tends to encourage me to lean in to the turn rather than leaning out over the down hill ski. I need to keep my hands just in my field of vision all the time, keep the up hill hand a little ahead to make sure my body is rotated down the slope and keep my down hill hand a little lower to keep my weight over the downhill ski...
Still, looking on the bright side, it's only my arms now, it used to be my shoulders that swung all over the place as well and my feet and legs are much better than they used to be. However, as Miche pointed out, whilst we were watching the ultra slow motion, 5 minute extended edition of the clip below, my right leg is a little slower as an inside leg than my left leg and when the right leg is the down hill leg it's a little straighter than the left and slips out a little at the end of the turn; so now's not the time to get complacent about my feet. Of course this could all be down to the fact that my left hand drops in a little too much and I follow it with my shoulder and thus lean in slightly too much on that turn.
A normal link in case the active movie thing above doesn't work.
No doubt the file requires that you have all the latest Microsoft stuff for it to work, but what the hell, all the people that are likely to be interested should be able to view it.
