We skied in Les Saisies again today. The visibility wasn't the greatest; clouds that don't drop snow are just a waste of water vapour. Pat, Miche's mum, had a lesson with Lucy and Miche and I just skied around and worked on technique stuff in the slightly soft conditions. Something strange happened and Miche ended up skiing particularly fast today; we were practicing "performance turns" (step up onto the inside edge of the inside ski at the end of turn and then roll the ski over into the new turn) and these just seemed to perform for Miche.
Conditions were quite a bit softer than the last time we were here but the snow coverage is still very good. It was quite busy today, lots of children on group lessons, but most of the people were on the Bisanne side and Les Sangliers and Girolles were pretty much deserted, which suited us fine.
Pat had a really good day, the parallel turns are coming on nicely and she's stopped doing the "hawaii 5 0" thing between turns and is skiing much faster as a result.
There's a rumour of more snow, and less visibility, tomorrow so I expect we'll be back here as we've skiied far too often in Les Contamines in white-out conditions so we'll try here for a change.
