These are some of the pictures that we took on the Randonnée today. Unfortunately the dial on the top of the camera got moved at some point on the return trip and all of the pictures from that leg are over exposed, still, never mind.

Miche skins up in the car park at Cote 2000.

A view towards the valley from the piste up from Cote 2000 at some ungodly hour in the morning.

Lucy leading the way towards the debris from the old avalanche that had crossed one of the gulleys that was on our route.

Miche follows her down.

Our destination is somewhere on the left end of the far ridge...

Miche and I en route.

Looking back from the place where the pictures of Miche and I were taken towards the ridge where the Lanchettes and Rochefort drag lifts terminate. The Lanchettes lift can just be seen on the left of the picture. The descent towards the debris was along the path between the trees on the right side of the picture.

We'd finally made it. This is the view towards the La Girotte dam from Col de Very. This is the same dam that we could see from Chez Gaston on the Col du Joly in Les Contamines earlier in the season.

This is looking towards Chez Gaston itself; it's the black dot on the left of the Col du Joly ridge that's halfway up the picture. The runs dropping down towards the right are the ones that lead down to Hauteluce.

We made it. We're stopping. We only sat up for the picture.

This is where we had lunch, out of the wind. The ridge in the distance with trees on is the same ridge that we could see in the picture that was looking back towards the Lanchettes drag lift...

Miche and Lucy on Col de Very.

The day according to Suunto...
