Week 13

This week we travelled around a bit looking for good conditions. We skied Mont d'Arbois, Cote 2000, Flaine and Les Contamines. Best snow was in Les Contamines, though the visibility was pretty poor. Conditions in Megève are now fairly bad; Cote 2000 is OK early in the morning and parts of Rochebrune look reasonable if you catch them at the right time but much of the Megève side of Mont d'Arbois is green now and Jaillet and Christomet are also dead. The Princess bubble and the lifts to Jaillet and La Giettaz are all scheduled to close on Sunday 3rd April with the Rochebrune and Mont d'Arbois lifts scheduled for closure on 17th April. Cote 2000 will stay open until May, if the snow lasts... The general concensus seems to be that nobody really expects any more snow this season. Let's hope that once the locals change to their summer tyres and get the mountain bikes out that the weather will have the last laugh with a late season dump ;)
