No Visibility in Les Contamines

We decided to head back to Les Contamines today; the forecast suggested more snow and we were hoping to be able to explore a bit more if the visibility was better. It wasn't.

The low cloud was pretty obvious from the moment we got there and it was thicker than yesterday and got worse throughout the day. Visibility was considerably less than yesterday but the snow that was falling was drier than the stuff yesterday, though there was less of it. The snow conditions were pretty good but we stayed on the same runs as yesterday as the visibility was such that at times you coulnd't see the next piste marker and so it wouldn't have been much fun exploring...

We stopped for lunch at the restaurant halfway down the Fredze red and had a lovely meal. From our table, it seemed that the restaurant couldn't afford a view:

It turned out that they could, just not a very good one ;)

The snow above 1800m was good but the stuff a little lower down was hard work again so we bubbled down to the car park after we were done for the day.
