A quick dash around Rochebrune in the rain

Michelle had a lesson this morning and as it was their last day skiing with us we decided to switch back to our normal skis and take Mark for a bit of a tour around. The forecast was for rain today and as we left the appatment it was trying to rain but failing...

Up on the mountain there was intermittant rain, usually brought on by someone saying how nice it was that it wasn't raining anymore. The snow seemed to be OK, better than it had been during the heat of the last few days. First thing the snow was reasonably crisp and cold and the rain had made it faster; it was probably the best conditions we've had for the last few days.

We skied over to Cote 2000 with Mark, mostly on very quiet reds, we didn't hang about and it seemed that the rest of the resort decided to stay home first thing because of the rain. We managed to get all the way over to the the Lanchettes drag before we started to see other people on the runs; which was nice.

The snow all the way across was surprisingly good; much better than the snow on the Mont d'Arbois side earlier in the week. Conditions at Cote 2000 were very good though the off piste looks more challenging now as it's settled a lot and looks much cruddier than it did.

We took a run all the way down to the bottom at Cote 2000 and then started the journey back; Mark and Michelle had a flight to catch in the afternoon so we skied until lunch time and then called it a day.
