Michelle's knee felt better yesterday afternoon so she tried to call up the ESF to book a private lesson. For some strange reason they don't take bookings by phone and said she had to go in to the office to book, given that we were at home at the time and the office closed in 5 mins that wasn't especially helpful for her. We went to the office first thing this morning but they couldn't do a lesson before 13.00 today and the snow would be crap by then so she booked for tomorrow morning and skied around with Mark today.
Miche and I had the telemark gear again and I spend the morning realising that yesterday's efforts had tired my legs more than I expected. My right knee (the one I hurt in Verbier) was particularly achey and crap compensation with my left leg meant that my right turn had gone to pot. Miche seemed to do pretty well but then she'd sensibly sat out of a couple of runs yesterday...
We stopped for a coffee at around 11ish and I opted for beer instead; good for the muscles and all that... The beer, or the sit down, seemed to fix my problems and I skied much better when we started again. We took Mark up to the top of the Rochebrune telepherique and skied back down and my turns were coming back together again, not as good as yesterday but much better than before the beer. We stopped at lunch time as the snow had got slushy and was becoming too hard for our tired legs. We ate outside on the deck at Super Megève from the barbeque and enjoyed the sunshine...
