It was warm in the sun today, around -3'C when we got up and chilly in the shade. Today was Maria and Milky's last day skiing and they had a lesson first thing. I drove them over to Mont d'Arbois for their 9 o'clock and then went home for breakfast. We met up with them at 11, after the lesson and then skied where they wanted to; down to the Monts Rossets lift.
We had lunch in Mandarines which was very good, the rotisserie chicken was lovely, as were the views. After lunch we skied down towards the Ideal chair but by then the afternoon rush was moving onto the slopes of Mont Joux and the lifts in that area were becoming a bit of a zoo. We decided to head back to the shade on Rochebrune for some final runs.
Today was the first time I took my video camera out. I've been meaning to for a while now but one thing or another has prevented me. I got some reasonable footage of everyone skiing, it was too cold to hold the camera in an ungloved hand so I just used the helmet camera and skied behind and around people. I think there's a good chance I can put together an amusing collection of Milky's scarey stopping moments...
