10-20cm fresh snow

The temperature rose up towards 0'C this morning and we woke to gentle snow fall. We skied in below the clouds in 10-20cm of fresh snow on quiet pistes and gave Maria and Milky some pointers for skiing in powder; they did pretty well.

Strangely our guests always seem to take the view that if it's snowing we should go out later; we're naturally inclined the other way... Since we were out a little later and the guys were a bit nervous about the fresh snow we stayed on some relatively easy terrain on the Rochebrune side. We found a lovely untracked blue, Tour, which is usually reserved for a slalom course and has a drag lift up the side. We laid some fresh tracks down and looped around until we'd used it all up. The guys did pretty well and by the end they were comfortable in the conditions.

We had lunch up at L'Alpette with zero visibility and then skied back down through the trees a few times. Miche and I then did a final run down from the top at full speed and then headed home. My technique in the fresh stuff had improved again on last time, which is good, as had Miche's; she's definitely lost her fear of powder now.
