Today I skied on 170cm Rossignol B2s, the shortest, fattest ski I've ever skied. At first I thought they'd be better named B52s as they felt huge and lumbering, I was not impressed; the added width under the foot meaning that the fast edge control that I had had with my XScreams had vanished and been replaced by no control at all :( I was not a happy bunny on the first few runs.
Since Pat's ankle was stil not right we had a second full day lesson with Lucy and, for me, much of the morning was spent learning how to control the new skis. We headed over to Cote 2000 and by the time we got there I had some control of the skis, which was reassuring... Lucy had had us gently testing out the skis on the way over and slowly adjusting our stances and styles to accomodate the more radically shaped ski. Once I got them under control they were fun, I'll keep them for tomorrow and then try something else.
