The final count down

We've been in the final stages of preparation for the trip since we returned from Verbier. By now I'm convinced that we will manage to expand the preparation required to fill the time available, so I'm quite glad that we're into the last couple of days...

We got he Sat Nav disk sorted out. After the useless service we received from Fox's at Badger's Mount in Orpington I did a search for Toyota dealers, picked the nearest (Romford) and called them. They had the disk to us within 3 days. That was the last of the things on the list for the car...

We both finished work on 17th December and the week following was hectic due to last minute Christmas preparation plus all the stuff that was left on our list of things to do for the trip. We received the debit cards and cheque books from Britline on Christmas Eve, which was cutting it a little fine. We got an excellent deal on GBP to EUR FX from Michelle's brother and he managed to pick exactly the right time to do the deal which was cool.

Christmas with Michelle's family was relaxing until Boxing Day and the news from Sri Lanka (my sister was there for a holiday, she's safe, I wrote about her story here...).

This last week has been a whirlwind of purchasing and thinking about packing - we've sorted out all of the non clothing packing - we hope. We're starting on the clothing today...

So, all we need to do now is fit all the bags in the car and drive to Megève... Snow's looking good and my knee seems to be mostly healed now so fingers crossed for a good season...
